Our Bed and Breakfast is set within a classic single‑storey home on a generous allotment in Glenelg North, an area shaped by rich layers of South Australian history. The house dates back to 1960 and sits in a neighbourhood that developed rapidly post World War II, when the former Golflands Estate became home to returning service families. The street name Berrima is an Aboriginal word meaning “to the south,” reflecting the thoughtful indigenous naming woven through the suburb. Just moments away is the Patawalonga River, a place of deep cultural importance to the Kaurna people and the site of South Australia’s first river port. Today, the area is recognised for its strong sense of heritage, including nearby “Streets of Honour” commemorating World War I and II veterans, while offering a peaceful coastal lifestyle close to Glenelg Beach, cafés, and Adelaide’s city attractions.
